美國Steph對SPROT感想
I had a chance to build one and it certainly is a nice upgrade from the V2. I believe this is a natural evolution of the original T-Rex 450 series for people who prefer the belt tail and double stacked frame.
Here are some closeups and I'll note the differences from the original SE V2 kits.
Packaging is different. Since the Pro didn't get the nice aluminum box, this one didn't either. But the parts are individually bagged and stored in boxes as shown.
The head, tail and frame are pre-assembled and all screws had loctite (at least in this kit it did).
Here are some new designs:
The new head block is wider with similar spec as the Pro, and I believe sharing the same spindle shaft. mixing arms seems to have different geometry. two pairs of the links are pre-made one piece design.
The flybar support ends have been extended on the flybar cage. This is an effective way to stiffen up the flybar. And the kit comes with two aerodynamically efficient flybar weights
The frame contains some of the biggest changes. While it's not as dramatic as the pro, these changes certainly are welcome improvements over the original SE frames.
We all know what sloppy battery can do to a heli in 3D. So Align redesigned the battery tray to make it more rigid.
The belt pulley assembly now rides on a platform which is part of the tailboom clamp. This effectively creates a very rigid structure, yet reduced the part count.
The motor mount has two slots which the top frame assembly gets sandwiched, and then compressed together with long machine screw. This removes the needs for front standoff posts yet increased the sitffness of overall frame. The back standoff are replaced with two aluminum machined blocks which fit perfectly with keyed frame.

Just eyeballing the swashplate between the Pro and Sport, they look to have the same geometry, so I would think the frame can be interchanged. I personally like this traditional double stacker frame for wire routing and receiver access, but the single plate Pro frame seems more rigid. Of course there is no way for me to verify what is stronger, suffice to say either frame is sufficient for heavy stick banging.

I have been flying the pro for a few months, and until I got this Sports up in the air, I almost forgot how quiet belt drive is. Torque tube is nice, but noise and maintenance is always on my mind while flying, so suffice to say I will be flying this heli in the foreseeable future. The tail performance is excellent, and to my surprise, the included DS420 servo actually held the tail extremely well. The heli felt very stable, yet comes alive very quickly on the cyclic. It has the same floaty precision characteristic of the Pro's head. Between the Pro and this Sports, my T-Rex 500 will probably become a shelf queen.

The little outrunner motor is excellent, and dare I say it, better than the one in the Pro kit. Running Thunderpower ProPower 30c, there was absolutely no bogging at 11degrees + and -. But care must be taken when routing the excess wires, as I had one of the servo wire rub against the rotating can. Motor came down cool to the touch after 6 minutes.
另外這個所搭附的外轉馬達也是非常出色,搭配 TP30C電池,我敢說它的表現比 PRO 的馬達還好!行程設定在 11°+ & 11-° ,但是還是要小心,設定伺服器角度時不要過量,以免干涉,這是我的經驗。馬達感覺溫度不高在飛行了六分鐘後,還可以用手觸摸。
